Applications now open for the 2024-25 Summer Internship Program
Applications for the Summer Internship Program are now open via the Careers website and close on 18 August 2024.
Multiple exciting opportunities are available for interns to apply their economics, econometrics, public policy, finance, or accounting studies to real-world problems. Internships are offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis across DTF and the Essential Services Commission (ESC).
The Internship Program is seeking applicants across two streams, an Economics and Public Policy Stream, and an Accounting and Finance Stream.
Interns will be placed in the Economic Division, Budget and Finance Division, Commercial Division, Infrastructure Division, Industrial Relations Victoria or the ESC for 12 weeks between December 2024 and February 2025 (start and end dates can be negotiated).

Summer Internship Program information session
DTF will be hosting a virtual Summer Internship Program information session on Thursday 8 August 2024.
This session will provide practical advice and insights for all those applying for our 2024-25 Summer Internship Program.
Guests will hear from staff across the Department, gain insights from recent interns and learn more about the internship application process.
